PUBLIC HEARING MAY 27, 2008 6pm - Participation by Harrison Township in a Joint Economic District (JEDD) with Pataskala
and Newark.
The Harrison Township Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 6:00 P.M., at the Harrison
Township Complex located at 6750 Outville Road. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss the JEDD Agreement between
the City of Pataskala, City of Newark and the Harrison Township Trustees.
Harrison Township has been invited by the city of Pataskala to participate in the new development district located totally
within the city of Pataskala in order to form a JEDD. Ohio Revised Code mandates a township and a city with an income tax
be involved.
The final documents for forming a Joint Economic Development District has been submitted and must be reviewed in a
Hearing. This event will be open to the public with the Township Trustees conducting the meeting. We have scheduled
that "Hearing" meeting for Tuesday, May 27th a 6:00 PM at the Township Complex.
The Harrison Township Trustees invite you to come and see, at this required public forum, what this participation involves.
Should you have any questions, please bring them to the meeting.
As you may by now be aware, ProLogis, the developer with a major financial interest in this project has withdrawn from
participation. The Trustees think this may be a very good time to show Harrison Township citizens what had transpired to
bring us to the brink of a major development and its ultimate demise. Please come and see. In light of these events, there
is no need for a special meeting to vote on our participation, so the time has been reserved for a hearing only. We, the
Trustees, will decide in the next two weeks if any other business will be conducted on the same evening. We do have
other items that we may want to discuss and that would be the perfect forum for such a meeting. Again, the hearing will be
held at 6:00 PM, on May 27th, at the Harrison Township Complex, 6750 Outville Road, Pataskala, OH.

YORK ROAD CLOSING
York Road will be closed starting Monday , June 9th thru Friday, June 13th, between Refugee Rd. and Beaver Run Rd.
Closing is due to Sanitary Sewer replacement and Maintenance issues.

Sept. 10, 2008 - County Commissioner Mark Van Buren will host a town hall meeting at the Harrison Township Complex on
September 10, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Sept. 13, 2008 - The Licking County Recycling & Litter Prevention is holding a TIRE COLLECTION DAY at the Township
Complex on Saturday, September 13, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.. This is for Licking County Residents only and there

Sept. 15, 2008 - The Harrison Township Trustees will hold an Emergency Meeting on Monday, Sept. 15, at 9:00AM EST, to
review and discuss playground equipment bids and any other business that may come before the trustees.

Harrison Township has been notified by Railroad Officials that Blacks and Gale Roads will be closed at the
railway crossing beginning Monday, November 17th, for track repairs. Repairs and closing estimated to be 1
week in duration.

Outville Christmas Parade - Saturday, December 13, 3 pm. Make your holidays special this year with a visit
to this historic Ohio holiday event. The festive parade features motorcycles, antique cars, trucks, tractors, equestrian
units, bands and Santa Claus. After the parade, enjoy ham and bean soup and a bonfire at the National Register Outville
B&O Railroad Depot. Also tour the historic Outville Hay and Grain Company. Special goodies from Santa Claus for the kids.
Parade registration starts at 1:30pm, with the Parade kicking off at 3pm.

County Commissioners Schedule Brittany Woods Meetings for December 18 and December 23, 2008
County Commissioners Schedule Resolution 58-539
WHEREAS, A Petition signed by at least twelve freeholders of the County residing in the vicinity of the proposed
improvement was filed to this Board of County Commissioners on November 21, 2008 requesting said Board to establish a
section of Zackary Drive, Established Erika Court and Brittany Court at Brittany Woods Phase 1 Subdivision in Harrison
Township; public roads as described therein; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED, That the 18th day of December 2008, at 2:30 pm, be fixed as the date when we will view the proposed
improvements, on which date we will meet at Brittany Woods Phase 1 Subdivision in Harrison Township; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the 23rd day of December 2008, at 10:00 am, be fixed as the date for the final hearing thereof, which hearing
will be at the County Commissioners Office, 20 South Second Street, 4th Floor, Newark, Ohio.
January 19, 2009 - Trustees to hold Special Meeting January 19, 2009 at 9:00 am at the Harrison Township
Administration Building.
